BOOK WEEK 2026

 Symphony of Stories

📅 20th August to 28th August

The ISC Library is excited to celebrate Book Week 2026, bringing students together through stories, cultures, creativity and the joy of reading! 🎉

This year’s CBCA Book Week theme, “Symphony of Stories,” will encourage students to discover how every story has its own characters, emotions, ideas and experiences, just like the different parts of a symphony.

🌟 WHAT’S HAPPENING IN OUR LIBRARY?

From 20th August to 26th August, students from Kindergarten to Year 6 will participate in special Book Week library sessions filled with:

🌟 Introduction to the “Symphony of Stories” theme
📖 Story time and book discussions
🎨 Creative and interactive activities
🖥️ Engaging PowerPoint presentations
🎁 Exciting giveaways
📚 Opportunities to discover books available in our library

The activities and presentations have been designed to help students not only understand the Book Week theme, but to experience, feel and enjoy stories through reading, discussion and creativity.

🌏 KINDERGARTEN TO YEAR 3

Bilingual Story Time

Our younger students will experience a special Bilingual Story Time, introducing them to Vietnamese culture and language through storytelling.

We are grateful to Ms Katie for joining us for these special sessions. The selected story will give students an opportunity to experience another language and culture while developing an appreciation for the diversity within our school community. 🌏📖

🔍 YEAR 4 TO YEAR 6

Exploring the “Symphony of Stories”

Students in Years 4 to 6 will explore selected books through PowerPoint presentations, discussions and interactive activities.

They will discover how stories can create humour, imagination, emotion and unexpected experiences while also getting to know some of the wonderful titles available in our library.
